What's involved in this role:

We are looking for an IT Technician Intern in our Jerome cheese and whey plant!

The IT Business Applications Intern works closely with Information Technology Leadership and other IT employees on various Information Technology tasks and projects. The responsibilities of the IT Business Applications Intern vary based on assignments and department needs.

• Create and maintain up-to-date inventory records for all local IT assets, including PCs, network switches, printers, etc.
• Create and maintain up-to-date documentation of all local IT systems.
• Work in partnership with local Automation (OT) team. Build and maintain strong synergy between IT and OT.
• Engage in constant communication with local leadership to ensure IT needs are being met.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of hardware and software.
• Resolve incidents and requests in a timely manner to eliminate downtime, prevent cost overruns, and ensure user satisfaction.
• Isolate, reproduce and analyze a wide range of complex technical issues and drive their resolution, either directly or through escalation depending on urgency and complexity.
• Communicate issues, failures, upgrades, or replacements in a timely manner to local management, IT leadership, and/or end-users to assist planning and ensure understanding.
• Reinforce SLAs to help set and manage end-user expectations.
• Identify and communicate areas for improvement. Help implement these changes.
• Support and help maintain production environments (where applicable).
• Support IT standards and help reinforce policies and procedures.

What you need to join our team:

• No experience required; in-house training provided.
• Must be currently enrolled in a Computer Science or related program as a candidate for graduation.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with executives, managers, colleagues and individuals inside and outside the organization.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision, adapt to a changing environment quickly, and think independently.
